About us

Beach Resort Makkum is a unique bungalow park on the IJsselmeer in Makkum. At this holiday park, we make sure every day that guests have an unforgettable vacation and get the real vacation feeling. This is one of our main drivers at the holiday park. The amazing location right at the beach and IJsselmeer and the approximately 165 accommodations we have for rent, almost all of which are on the waterfront, certainly contribute to this. This beautiful holiday park consists of a variety of bungalows, holiday villas, and apartment buildings.

What will you be doing?

You will be a cooperating foreman/forewoman in the finance team.
You will be a sparring partner for the MT of Beach Resort Makkum, Strandhotel Vigilante and the shareholders.
You will lead the finance team and coach and supervise the finance team employees.
You will be responsible for further implementing and professionalizing the planning & control cycle.
You will provide financial reports to management and shareholders.
You will give further shape to governance and compliance.
You will contribute to improving and simplifying processes whenever possible. While doing so, you are proactive and communicative and you will give your opinion both when you are asked and when you are not.
You will translate strategic goals into critical performance indicators.
You will create solicited/unsolicited financial insights, both planned and improvised, that show opportunities to improve business performance.

What do we require?

To be a good fit for the Senior Controller position, you need to be analytical and environmentally aware: you are continuously aware of the impact of (external) changes on others, the business and your role in it. In addition, your driven personality is essential for the perfect result, which you love to aim for! You know how to keep calm when things are hectic. Prioritizing is something you excel at.

In addition:

You have at least a completed college education such as HEAO, SPD, academic track with AA/RA component;
You have a minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in a similar position;
You have in-depth knowledge of Excel and affinity for other data systems. If you are able to translate large amounts of data into clear steering information/dashboards, we will consider that a big advantage;
You are a solid (strategic) interlocutor and have a pre-eminent leadership role;
You have a feeling for organizational: you know how to move unerringly through the various layers of the organization;
You have the power of persuasion: you know how to enthusiastically communicate your vision and get colleagues and (external) parties on board;
You are a connector, having a connecting role with other departments;
You have good automation skills. Experience with EXACT is advantageous;
If you have knowledge of the German and English languages, it is advantageous.
