Because of this beautiful location, it's an ideal park for water (sports) lovers. We also rent out various water sports accessories such as canoes and paddleboards. Of course you can also relax on the beach en enjoy our terrace at the water. We also rent out bikes at Beach Resorts Makkum, so you can explore the beautiful nature of Friesland. After a day full of fun, you can go to the cozy Strandhuys Makkum for a great bite and drink, before you go back to your holiday apartment in Friesland.

Things to do and experience from your beachfront apartment

From your waterfront apartment, you can easily take enjoyable trips to the Frisian Eleven Cities, such as Workum or Sneek. Take a lovely walk through the Makkumersúdwaard nature reserve, explore an interesting museum, or visit the animals at Aqua Zoo. You can also take a trip to one of the Wadden Islands, such as Terschelling. You might even spot a seal along the way!

✤ Are the apartments suitable for persons with a disability?

Yes, the apartments consist of a single floor and there is an elevator in both complexes. We also rent bath rails and handles with suction cups that you can install yourself. You can reserve these separately when making your booking.

✤ Can I park my car at my apartment?

Yes, our apartment complexes have 1 private parking space per apartment outside. Residence Sudersee also has space for one car per reservation in the parking garage. At the entrance to the park, you will find a general parking lot where additional cars can be parked if necessary.
